Can Music Drive Away Demons?

And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.

It seems as though this passage in the Bible is illustrating the fact that music from a Christian source can drive off evil spirits. I believe that uplifting music, especially Christian music, irritates demons. They can hear the lyrics and I’m sure they don’t like it. They can see the effect it has on us, and I’m sure they don’t like that either.  So the next time you’re feeling a little grumpy or irrational, or angry for no good reason, try playing your favorite Christian tunes and see what happens. Maybe there’s a demon around you trying to get your goat. Don’t let him have it.
